Awesome, thanks.
Next time I'm definitely planning ahead and realizing I have a weekend off before Friday morning so I can get something together.

There should be a good amount of traffic on the trail today, so I doubt you'll be alone for long...

Today was awesome. Took the doors off before we left and it was cold as hell through the mountains but warmed right up once we got near the trail.
Was alone for all the technical stuff but ended up catching up with a group not long after heart attack hill. Pics and video I'll get up in the next couple of days.

Great, glad you had a good run...I've always enjoyed that trail. Looking forward to seeing your photos.

Holy Crap. I would disadvise Pinyon Mountain all by yourself. It's awful technical, there's video around of a gal breaking her back a few years ago, and if you decide to bail out of heart attack hill you can't get back out. Glad things worked out though.

Given that he said he has no lockers, I'd say Pinyon Mountain would be preferable to Sidewinder, especially for someone going solo. You don't need lockers either for The Squeeze or for Heart Attack Hill (headed downward, at least), but they're advisable on Sidewinder--where, by the way, one is more likely to find need of self-winching.

Believe it or not heart attack hill and the squeeze were far easier than the ledge right after the squeeze. That was the hardest and most technical part IMO.

And now for the pictures.
Airing down at the trail head

Coming into the squeeze.

Pics of the mountains as we cruised through the more open desert roads.(the choppiness is the dust on the windshield)

Ended up catching a group not long after heart attack hill. Everyone was waiting for a group of dirtbikes to get up the hill, which is why I was able to catch up with them . Two of the bikes has sidecars which made everything stupidly slow. This is at the top of the trail. We all lined up for a shot.

My buddy got a video do me gong down heart attack hill but I have yet to get it from him. Will post up when I do.
