Rubicon 13! JK-Forum's Run at the Rubicon
No one got hurt. It had a broken rear drive shaft so was difficult to get up Cadillac Hill. Wildandwillin was pulling him with a rope to help get traction. It was a very tight turn and one of the front wheels went up on a rock and dumped it before they could make the correction. Started up and running fine now too
The granite slabs at the beginning of the trail. Just amazing! That's Ralph taking pic's.

Something going on with Peter's Jeep. This won't be the last time you see Mike under a Jeep.

Moving right along.

Andrew taking on an optional obstacle. And conquering.

Peter and copilot Martin

Tracy, is that you?

Love the ferns

I want this lily pond in my back yard. Oh, and the Sierras too.

Pretty flowers

Men.....
...
(Notice the built-in table and bar! This is a really cool camp spot!)

Good morning Scott! Yes, that's his mugg... on his coffee mug... (don't worry, he got a lot of shit for it).

Damn helicopter...... kept disturbing our glorious mountain peace

Ralph pointed this out. There's a big ring around the sun. Ever seen this?? I've seen plenty of rings around the moon, but never around the sun. Some of us were kind of expecting armageddon

Got wood?

Jeep parking lot

Brenda kickin' back

Martin and Peter enjoying lunch (MRE's that sound really yummy) and Ralph enjoying good company.

Anne is really organized. I want one of these!

More Jeep parking. This is a great spot. As you enter the Buck Island Lake area from the Loon Lake side it's on the right. Lots of space for a big group. We were really fortunate to nab this area! It's first come, first served!!!

Great pics Caroline...I need to get busy and post of some of mine. Sometimes I ask myself why I take so many damn pictures...it makes it hard to do anything with them. I'll try to do some at lunch
I'm bummed to see what I 'missed out' on...
I am very envious of what appears to be an epic trip.
I've been to many places like the Rubicon, Moab, ect and I rarely get 'poser' shots cuz I'm driving and we just don't take the time for pics or I'm too lazy to dig out the camera for a photo op...

Looking forward to more pics!
So my jeep is at ORW to replace inner axle seal, got an extended warranty. I was happy that it's covered but now it looks like more damage than anticipated,
Bent Tie Rod
Bent Drag Link
Axle tubes caked with mud, no one told me once you sleeve you can't put on outer seals. Got to figure a way to get outer seals this time.
Not sure if Rubicon is responsible for all this but now she's going to get upgraded. Amazing jeep brought me home smoothly. Guess I'll be driving my old RV to work for another day. The experience is still worth the carnage.
