Finally re-countersunk the fasteners to make them flush but I can't decide if I want to put my reverse lights there, or in the bumper I planning on building.

Why not do both? You'll have good visibility on the street and trails. I've got aux lights in the bumper wired up as additional reverse lights.

Meh I need to build my rear bumper first and see how it would look but I'll leave it open to do either or.

I've got about 12 hrs and $100 in these and that's including the price of the reverse lights I haven't mounted yet.

Thats not bad. Time I have. Money is always questionable. $100 isnt bad at all. The only thing I would change is the lights. I prefer the squares. I like the look you have so far though. I would leave the panels black on mine too. Its cool lookin.

I've got just two simple bends in the panel and it's only 1/8"
