Destroyed my right rear fender. Plastic welding in process. Plastic welds are easy, but man does it take time to do!!

Yanked off my rear taillight. Actually was able to secure it back on once the screw clips were tightened against the internal body. Also chewed up my rear fender. Good times!

Fun trip. Got a good case of death wobble on the way back home. Only at 20-30 mph. Frame side trackbar bolt was wicked loose. Torq'd to 125 and drove around... I think that solved it

This is why no sleep and the forum don't mix. The driveshaft boot. I was looking around and couldn't figure what tore it. I don't think it affects anything major though.

I'm pretty sure it was that poor excuse of a skid plate jeep started installing on 2012+ models (my 08 didn't have a skid) that ripped that dumb plastic boot. They should've used rubber. I must've really been flexing for the driveshaft to come near the corner of that thing. I think mainly it's to keep dirt & junk from seeping into the splines and possibly seizing... but a lot of aftermarket d/s don't have a boot, so why worry?

Hey pirate
I have a 07 jku and went through 2 front driveshafts In 2 trips. Both were stock I have 3 " of lift and when you flex it out max to much the rubber boot hits the tranny pan and rips it.
you can run them without. Boot for only so long then they start leaking oil all over plus the possible damage it can cause.
Hope this helps.

The driveshaft leaks oil? Aren't they greased?
