Southern San Joaquin Valley, CA.
I had the noise on deceleration that everyone else has posted about. I actually expected it to make noise, but the shop wanted it to be right. 4wheel parts worked with superior and other installers to work out a solution. They purchased and used a case speader and installed another gear set and bearing. This took a little while to do, but the gears are quiet now. 4wheel parts went above and beyond what I expected them to do.

Late notice, there is a group going up Freeway Ridge tomarrow Meating at the Cheveron on 178 by the old Masa Marin, leaving at 9:00 A.M. I won't be able to make it but there will be anouther Jk in the group. Marcy and John in a red rock crystal 4dr. I know a couple of you have been wanting to go up, so i thought i would relay this message.

Its my neighbor Jason's 1986 CJ 7. He bought it from a guy who lived on Manor just north of China Grade. It has the Detroit lockers front and rear I believe, and a spring over lift.
I called Chuchupate Ranger Station 661 245-3731 and they said that Lockwood trail and Miller Jeep trail are still closed due to ice conditions at the higher elevations. The gates are closed at alamo Mtn. and at the parking lot off lockwood creek. I was told that the trails don't have a firm opening date of June 1st. The local trails are reassessed every 2 weeks to determine when they will open.
thanks
Larry
