If I may add my $.02...

The hotel that everyone is staying at is The Comfort Inn, Pine Grove, PA. The rooms have been recently given a face lift and now have micro and mini fridges. I know that doesn't sound huge but it's a nice to know. They also have free breakfast in the morning that includes waffles, cereal, etc.

The parking lot is fairly large and can accommodate 18wheelers in about 10 lanes so there is quite enough room for trucks and trailers. McDonalds is in the same parking lot and the drive in is open 24 hours. The only bad part is you can't walk thru the drive thru - they get cranky. I tried it and they didn't like it either when I came through on a luggage cart.

There are several gas stations near the hotel as well as the Offroad park.

Rausch Creek is about 15 mins away and is off the Hwy on exit Tower City (exit 107 maybe). Rausch does have VERY primitive camping on site. If anyone wants to stay there, I will be more than happy to reserve a spot for you. The park also has air compressors so you can air up prior to leaving. They just ask for a small donation.

Trails at Rausch range from Green (fire roads) to Red (OMG That is tight squeeze big ass rock). I know the trails are completely different from Moab but we will try to get you into something fun and challenging. If there is any flavor y'all like, please let me know. After we attend Moab maybe I can make some comparisons that would be helpful.

We usually invade the local restaurants such as Red Lion Cafe or O'Neals Tavern. There is another restaurant near the hotel called Gooseberry Farms. I call it Dingleberrys and it is not good at all. However, they do have a rather large selection of adult beverages.

Package stores are very close to the hotel and we usually call them and ask them to stay open late just in case we need something that evening(Sat) or Friday night.

Subway is open very early on the am since they know we always stop for subs prior to leaving for the park. Subway is by Dingleberrys in the Truck Stop/Gas station.

Right now gas on the East Coast: Reg 87 $3.20 and Diesel is $3.85 (ish). Not sure what it will be in Aug but just throwing it out there.

Bantom is about 4 hours from Rausch. Their hotels fill up fast as well.

BTW, Pottsville is about 20 mins north of Tremont and the Yuengling Brewery is there. They do offer tours and I wasn't sure if that is something y'all would be interested in.
