Mark your calendars for some camping and wheeling fun in the desert with friends, old and new!
Save the date: October 24th & 25th (some of us arriving friday evening)
It'll be at Cougar Buttes in Lucerne Valley in the general area of 34°29'44.76"N 116°49'29.86"W
The exact location will be updated as we go, even up to the day-of because it's a popular area. There's tons of open space and it's accessible by just about any vehicle, including RV's.
BE CAUTIOUS – THERE ARE RATTLESNAKES!!
Also, it can get very windy at times so be prepared with extra stakes, rope, chains, rebar, boat anchors, duct tape, and whatever else works for you…
There are all levels of trails - from beginner all the way up to hard-core at the nearby Hammers. Your choice!
There are no amenities except for a couple of vault toilets that you may end up having to drive a short distance to. If we get lucky then they'll be within walking distance.
This isn't an organized event so y’all are on your own for everything except some good times with good folks.
Bring wood
Hope to see ya there
we
This is where the main camp & pot luck will be hope to cya all out there!

I'm in. Gonna be some more fun times.
Hopefully Taher will stake his tent down well and won't have to sleep under his Jeep
(although I may be tempted to stay at my place in Big Bear and commute down the mountain)
