Wierd electrical issue
Wonder if anyone has had this issue or I am just going crazy. Every time I go to the suds n grub I go to start my Jeep and if clicks like the battery is dieing. Turn it off and try it again, it starts right up. Battery is a Diehard Platinum and is only 6 months old. It doesn't do this any other time. Only on those nights. Is my just Jeep trying to embarrass me by not starting? or is the computer getting confused with all the other Jeeps and electronic keys? WTH?

Anyone ever hear of anything like this?

Most of them suggest bigger ground wires, the most critical being an additional large wire from the alternator mount bolt to the battery negative terminal.
Even if that's not your problem, it's a good thing to do anyway.
There are lots of threads about "click, no start".

If there is something electrical going on there, it may also be present elsewhere.
Improve your ground wires, and go from there. (They probably need it anyway.)
Quite some time ago I had a real issue with my YJ and the Factory wire set-up.
You see, I had inadvertently left my parking lights on over the weekend...
Needless to say but my battery died. On Monday morning while getting ready for
work I found this out. I proceeded to jump-start my jeep via my Dodge Ram.
All was well or so I thought.

When I got to work 20 mins later, smoke was pouring out from under the hood.
I popped the hood and put out the electrical fire inside my wiring harness.
Then, doing some detective work I found the problem... The way Jp wired the Battery
was to have the power lead come off the Alternator and run through the main fuse
-bus then to the battery and from there to the starter....It must have looked good
on paper or at least before I added a Mean Green Alt and a Sears Deep Cycle Battery.

I ended up replacing the wiring harness with the the Fuse Block, ($500; from Painless
-Wiring) and bought some 0/1 welding cables from the local weld supply shop.
I wired everything as it should have been except for a couple of "minor" changes.
The 0/1 welding cables now go from the 300 amp alternator to the Battery with a 250
amp fuse,(very heavy duty) and then from the Battery they go to the starter,(another
Mean Green Product.) All Grounds were made with the 0/1 welding cable as well.
I have never had a problem with my electrical system since.
Just my 2 cts.
P.S.; I wonder how my new 2012 JK is wired....

I had a problem where it would randomly click or start fine. Then one day after a click the relays went nuts and kept going nuts after I took the key out. I towed it to a trustworthy mechanic and he told me there were too many terminals on one screw which was sending a low voltage to the computer causing it to freak out. So he just replaced the battery terminals with ones with multiple attachment points and it was solved.
