Just a reminder, if you can't get all 4 that is fine - we'll have a pool of 'filler' team members we can pair you with.

OK everyone.
I want to make sure that everyone is aware of exactly what this event is going to be like, because I know for me, it's unlike ANYTHING I have ever been a part of!
It's part Show-N-shine, part poker-run, part relay, and part obstacle course! *whew!*
At 9 in the morning, we are expecting Jeeps from all over the state to line up for registration at Clermont Chrysler Jeep Dodge. The Jeeps will then be split up into teams of 4. If you already have a team, even a partial one, we will keep your team together.
After registration and a little bit of social time, we will send the teams out on one of 3 select routs. You MUST follow our route and you cannot speed. **If you do, we will know ** This route will take you to one of 3 checkpoints via some very beautiful hill country and back roads through Lake County. At each checkpoint location, there will be a "challenge". All the challenges are optional, but could be necessary to win. Also, while at the checkpoint, your timer is paused. The challenges are extremely diverse in nature. They range from tests of teamwork, mental capability, dexterity, and strength. Once you have completed all checkpoints your team will return to Clermont Chrysler Jeep to have your times calculated.
"But wait!!" you say. "There are 4 Jeeps on the team and only 3 checkpoints?? what gives"
Don't worry. Once you have returned, you will have the option to select ONE Jeep to traverse a challenging obstacle course that will help you earn credit to lower your total time!
The rest of the crew can watch from the spectator area! While there, we will be having all the usual show and shine activities with food vendors, merchandise vendors, a DJ (me) and prizes... Oh the prizes! Gift Certificates, trophies, a winch, lift kit (Rancho), flash paq (Superchips), and MORE!! We also have plans to have a Dunk Tank for charity so that you can dunk your favorite (or not so favorite) Club Board member or fellow forum poster!

Some more things you need to know!
This event is free to spectators so your friends/family can ride in the passengers seats to enjoy the experience too
Don't forget to bring extra cash for food vendors, the AWESOME raffles, and a few 'surprise' experiences the beautiful Clermont area has to offer!
The first 100 Jeeps to register get a FREE event dash plaque
If you are paying/sponsored with a check, make it payable to 'The American Cancer Society'
Reminder registration opens at 9am, but you can get in line prior.
Don't forget to go to http://www.JeepersForCharity.com to get your sponsor sheet so that you can get donations from your friends, coworkers, enemies, and family!
Anything else?
Oh yeah. Any more questions should be e-mailed to ChrisCasey@OrlandoJeepClub.com
Make sure you check out http://www.JeepersForCharity.com for all the sponsor lists, instructions, and updates!!

Sounds like a good thing. It seems that a lot of clubs are going to participate. Several clubs had this event on their site. That'll get the word out! Can't wait for next weekend!

I'm torn between this and just going to check out Hardrock (weather permitting). If the weather looks unsavory maybe I will head to Clermont to at least see the show n shine.

I have a friend possibly coming to town so that is also a determining factor. Already planned on going in Oct. as well.

Remembered the camera when we pulled into the parking lot of the event. Unfortunately it was on the kitchen counter

Thank you to all who came. We raised well over $2500.00 and had a great time doing it!

We will have detailed stats, pictures, etc up sometime in the next week.

We'll let you know....
