beach riding
Yeah, ok then what other places would be central enough to draw a good crowd and give us a location more like what we're looking for?
Somewhere more "Beach Party"ish
New Smyrna is nice, but I don't think you can you drive on the beach there. Besides my neighborhood, Daytona is the other I know of but not only is that a bit north for peeps down beyond Tampa, the few times I've been it looks like it can get pretty crowded. We'd have to make sure we scheduled around any local events.
Are there no suitable places over on the west side?

That seems very central to me and I live 2hrs south of there. It would be my choice for a good meeting spot.
I was really looking forward to someone on the west coast to come up with something of the sort. I guess there isn't anywhere to drive on the beach there... As far as anyone knows yet.
What do you need to know? This is definitely an event for my neck of the woods
. You can drive on the beach by Ponce Inlet and also South Daytona. It's really not that crowded at all that far south, unless you go right by the Daytona Beach pier. There is PLENTY OF DRIVABLE BEACH, to get away from any crowds. Often no people parked at all just 2.5 miles south of the pier...even on a beautiful day. BTW- i am not sure how Bolsak is driving from New Smyrna Beach to Ponce Inlet on the beach, as that would mean crossing the ICW. That's one hell of a snorkel to cross that water
I'm sure he just meant that they are close together (but there is no bridge connecting the two.) Also, if any of you guys surf, this is prime territory. I think it would be in quite the JEEPer spirit to combine a little surfing in there. I have an extra board, veteran surfers or beginners will have a great time in this surf. Anyways...I think it's a great idea for an event. Anyways, haven't posted in awhile, but I drive/surf these beaches literally three times a week, and have had several beach parties out here. So if you guys have any questions let me know

I will go drive on the beach wherever if I can fit it in schedule. But when you talk about a beach event, and driving JEEPs on the beach...I mean C'MON, it's the worlds most famous beach and know for driving, plus there might be a good local trail or two
The state is big enough for more than one event. I am thinking we can plan something over here, were we can get a buch of people who love the ocean and love jeeps together in one place at one time. I think it would be fun, make for some good times and great pictures and be a close drive for a lot of folks. You guys on the west coast should definitley plan something over there too. There are some who will drive from this coast over there to hang out, and I am sure there are some from that coast that will venture over here.
