I'm still down for the trip! I want to get to the offroad park between 8 and 8:30ish that morning! I'll talk with the trip cordinator fromt the sponsoring group and get the latest on what they are planning.

I'll be leaving from the Woodstock area, where do the GA folks want to meet to make the drive to Alabama??

We're still thinking of trying to arrive there around 9:00 AM (we'll be able to "catch up" with the group easily as the trails are primarily dozens of small loops). Means we need to leave south Hsv at around 7:00 AM. On our first trip down, all of us met at the Walmart across from Park Place Mall (Drake and Pkwy). How's that sound?

Not all the mud - stopped in Ardmore on the way back and gave it a good rinsing, but she still has some dirt on her.

How far away are they? If it's just 30 minutes or so, I might be game, but if it's going to turn into 1-2 hours . . . I'll just use the internet.

Here are directions from Mountainside to Rusty's. Rusty's Offroad is just south of the Hwy 431/ I59 intersection:

Jarrod, we can meet at like 6:30am-6:45am (wow that's early for a Saturday) at the QT off Bells Ferry and 575! Map Quest is showing a 2 hour and 15 minute drive for a distance of about 110 miles

DJ, where exactly are you located? We will be getting on US 411 out of Catersville.

Default Waiver???

I noticed on the Mountainside Offroad Park web site that they have a waiver, do they enforce the signing and turning of this waiver?

http://www.mountainsideoffroadpark.com/waiver.htm

Also, here is some info from the Southeast Offroad site with info on what they like for participants of the trail rides to have.

1. Functional Parking brake or Line Lock
2. Tow strap (minimum 2"/20,000lbs, can be bought for +/- $20)
3. Fire extinguisher (must be secured and easily accessible; mandatory for certain ORV parks)
4. Seat belts/restraints for all passengers
5. CB with clear reception (***See note below)
6. Recovery hooks or D-rings front & rear. (Cheap Idea: hxxp://www.stu-offroad.com/guards/gas/tj_hooks.htm)

*** The properly tuned CB radio is how we communicate on the trail systems. From time to time, we can not see or hear each other and this is where our CB's come in handy. If you are on a budget, you can pick up one of the best "budget" CB's on the market for $39 at WalMart (Cobra 19DX).

Thanks,
SEOR
