Check out this map, think we are going this way! http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1c=Wood...=Gadsden&2s=AL You can get a cheap fire extinguisher at Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes. They are under $20!

Huntsville folks have learned by trial and error to take the following route, especially and particularly through the Gadsden area. We'll meet you guys anywhere along it, or at the park (9971 Lay Springs Road) if there's not a convenient convergence any closer. Note that once you exit the interstate, you'll be traveling on small back roads, which can and did, turn into gravel and then back into asphalt on at least one of our trips down there (those little GPS units can really be fun sometimes).

And remember, there's not a whole lot in the way of stores, gas stations, etc. once you begin to move away from the interstate.

Hrmm...I just realised my JK doesn't have hooks front or rear. I was thinking it did, but I guess I was thinking about my YJ.

How big of a problem will this be? Will I still be able to go? I will look at a few local places today to see what I can find.

we can always hook up a tow strap to your grill... works like a charm!

thats true! I assume you saw the vid of the jeep tub being tow strapped off the frame

but to answer your question, I don't know the area. Do you have a trailer hitch? That can work as a rear recovery point with just the cross pin and a tow strap. For the front... I have done light pulls from the axle (although I do not like to).... and by light, I mean you are virtually not stuck, but just need a little tug.

From what I understand, there are plenty of bypasses... worst case, if you have a tow hitch, we can pull you up and obstacle backwards

... and by we... i mean someone else. The whole liability thing doesn't sit to well with me.

You should come out! Worst case, ride with me, my spotter bailed so I am alone on this one.

EDIT TO ADD: I have also recovered from the under armor... this of course depends greatly on angles, but it works well!
