i have my gears sitting in my office and a just got my arb lockers in this week. im gonna have steve's 4wd in harrahan install my stuff. hes gonna charge 850 to install the gears. i dont know how much extra for the lockers. theres also a shop called searchers in prairieville, but they are high as giraffe nuts. they wanted 2 towzin (actually 1800) for the gears and install. thats just too much. they are cool fellas though. i also checked the mud hole on airline near the airport, but they dont do gears and the dude wouldnt recommend anyone.

not too many south louisiana folks on here......unfortunately.....

I was going to say Searchers but 1800 seems a little steep. You can try Light Line 4x4 on Cloverland in Baton Rouge. Keep us posted as to who you use. Ill be going down that road in the next year.

I called Searchers earlier today. $1000 for labor. $400 for front and $600 for rear. I'm gonna see if they will match the price of those guys in harahan ($850)...Searchers has LOTS of experience with gear install and that is very important. I'll keep ya updated

i got mine back from steves 4wd in harrahan. he told me it was going to be $900 to install the gears and lockers. when i picked it up the price changed. i only have a coupla hundred miles on it so for, but all good. no humming or noise to be heard. i only mention the noise because i read a thread on here where people mentioned that they have some humming (that cant be good).

oh, i forgot to mention......the price changed to $800.....

I dropped mine off at Searchers today Gears installation, they're adding a frt locker, evo gussets and skids welded on. $1847.20, that included tax.

Been looking everywhere and I cant get anything reasonable, everyone is in the 1000-1200 price range for labor alone. I'm thinking I will just go to searchers due to them having the experience with the JK's.

Lockright , same as an Aussie, I supplied gears, gussets and skids, they're supplying the locker. $1000 for labor on gears , rest is for locker and welding & tax. I know just the c-gussets take 2-3hrs to be done right. I'm not sayin this is the best price, I just figured I'd put it on here to let people know what I paid. Just last summer they were charging 12-1300 for gears and install, shoulda got mine done then. The guy you went to in Harahan is cheaper , but Prarieville is closer to where I live and I've delt with these guys before.
