I don't know if I'm ever going to finish it, or the light brackets. I'm waiting on the guy at work who welds to have free time, while I have free time.
I've been working on something else, that will start making me some extra money, so I can buy tools and Jeep stuff.
Here's a hint:

Here's what I've done so far:
Design the knife
Coat the steel (D2 for these) w/ Dykem and scribe out the pattern
Cut out the knife blank
Drill handle holes
Cut out the handle material (black palm and Australian Blackheart)
Grind the plunge/grind the blade (the wharncliffe has a high-flat grind; the other is more a full-convex grind)
Begin the never ending hand sanding
After I finish the hand sanding, they'll be heat treated, then some more hand sanding, and fitting the handle scales. Next is shaping the handle, then many coats of tung or danish oil; I'm not sure what I want to use yet. Once they're finished, I'll farm out the sheath making, as I am the heat treating.
These are my first two. They're coming out pretty good.
Not shanks.

More steel should be arriving today; 1095 instead of D2. D2 is not a beginner steel. It's difficult to work with, and extremely difficult if your doing it all by hand.
3 packs of 100 grit sand paper for the flat of one side of the little wharncliffe.
