I'm sick of it. I think we need to fire all of the politicians. Go down to Zoo Atlanta and appoint the gorillas in their place. We may have banana shortages, but I can live with that -- even though I love those bananas.

According to this llist:

http://www.gasbuddy.com/GB_Price_List.aspx

we are the 3rd most expensive state in the nation - followed by Alaska and Hawaii.

And Atlanta is the second most expensive, followed by Honolulu!

It's only been since good ole' Ike. Before that we were slightly below average.

I can sum it up in one acronym: EPA

Atlanta has strict requirements for smog, so they have to get the heavily refined light, sweet crude. The rest of Georgia and the southeast suffers, because the pipeline comes right through here.

I'm sure it's more complicated than that and there are nuances, but that from my understanding is the gist of it.

It sounds like it's going to get better.
"All but one of 15 refineries shut down during the storms have resumed production, and the main pipeline bringing gas into the region is operating at normal capacity. "As refineries get back to full production and restoration efforts progress in the Gulf region, the market will balance," she says. "This will likely take another week or two.""
