Got any Alabama folks??
I live in Corner, AL, about 20 miles north of Birmingham.
As far as trails go, i haven't been to Gray Rock yet, even though it is only about 10 minutes from my house. They are only open for special events and such. We are going to go to the June Jam on June 8-10.
I have been to Morris Mountain (www.morrismountainorv.com). It's near Cheaha about halfway between B'ham and Atlanta. my hubby and i went about a month after i got my jk to check it out. It was my first time driving off road so we stayed on the access road, which was a level 1 trail, so i didn't get too adventurous but we had a blast!
Went through a mud hole and over some rocks so it was definitely a good time! I am looking forward to going back. They are open every weekend.

link isnt working. got another one? some of us GA boys might have to come over and check this place out!
So is this an event a Newbie can learn from and have a few mild trails to ride, or will I end up just feeling as if I'm in the way?
Thanks!

I hope that those of you that go have a good time. I was warned that it will be somewhat dusty though. God, we could use some rain down here!!!
BigJerm... The address for Gray Rock is www.grayrockorv.com
RanMan... I'm a newbie and i'm definitely going Saturday. I called them and they told me that there is plenty of places to ride for us newbies. There are tons of access roads and they recommended the level 1 and 2 trails. I'm really excited about it. I have a feeling that me and my hubby are going to be in a tug-of-war over the jeep key. LOL
Here's a link to with the trail ratings for gray rock http://www.offroadalabama.com/gr_tr_rtgs.html
As ShoalCreek said, we haven't had hardly any rain. It rained a little bit today so hopefully it will help on the dustiness. I had wanted to go with the doors and top off but i don't know if i'm ready jk to become a dustball on wheels just yet.
Hope to meet some of y'all there. If you see my "instantclogger" tire cover say hi!
