MOPAR huh, what made you decide on this bumper? Looks good
MONEY, or more like lack of...I got the bumper for $444 and the skid plate for $184 from the dealership. Quadratec wants $600 just for the bumper and the one they are selling doesn't even have the fog light cutouts.
dealer? You cant be talking about our local stealer are you? must be the one that you and Rubi ave used.
Yep, the local one in Huntsville. They started off list price, but I mentioned that I bought the jeep there and asked for a discount. They gave me 25% off. My jeep may turn into a rolling MOPAR accessories billboard if I keep getting that discount.
I think these new guys are going to be different from the previous Madison Jeep gang. Same time Denny was wheeling and dealing a 25% discount, I reported the stripped hardtop retainer plate, and the faulty rear soft top retainer brackets (those two plastics "clips" that the window bar inserts into) to their warranty folks and they provided me with new parts . . . no fuss, no hassle, no problem. Just had to give them the old stuff, which was bad anyway.
That was almost $30 in parts. I don't have any reason to complain about Landers McLarty yet - so far, they've done right by me.

JK-Rubi,
I'm about to order the Rugged Ridge front skid plate from Quadratec. It's only $149 and will fit our ARB front bumpers. The discription says that it will protect the Rubi's electro-disco, but since I don't have a Rubicon, I'm not sure if it will serve the purpose for you.

By the way, what have you decided re the new gears?
JK-Rubi,
I'm waiting on the Rugged Ridge front skid plate, Uniden 510XL40 cb radio, rear cb antenna mount, Firestik cb antenna, and IPF lights from Quadratec. Maybe we can test fit the skid plate on your Rubi before I install it on my "Ex-X". I'll PM the next time I work on my Jeep.
I'll still debating on installing the gears/lockers.
