i was thinking we would need a spring compressor, but, i spoke with a mechanic that works here and also hase race cars and offroad trucks and all kinds of cool shit i wish i had, anyway...he said jack up the jeep, put it on jack stands, undo the shocks and use a floor jack to lower the axel, then just pull the springs out.....

will this work?

WOL posted this in a write up he did

9. Being mindful of your brake lines, carefully lower your Jeep JK Wrangler’s front axle until the factory front coils can be slipped out of the upper perch and be removed completely with ease.

You are welcomed to do it in my garage. I have all the tools neeeded. Air tools, jack stands, spring compressor, etc. If you want to do it Sunday, I'll be available around 1PM.

I did my suspension lift myself at the house.

JK-Rubi,
Do you need to install your brake lines? If can bring in on Sunday as well.

Jeff

You should not need longer brake lines with Rubi springs. Should be a very simple remove and replace. I don't think we need to compress the front springs either. I had to but mine were Full Traction 3" HD springs.

I'll PM you my address. My garage refridge will be waiting patiently on your beer...hehe.

Sounds good to me

Okay, you all are welcome to come over to my house to help tboginski with his Jeep. Or to hang out and talk trail stories...... I have one more garage bay available.

Dennis,
Did you get your springs? Want to put them on Sunday?

Sunday 1PM. PM if you need directions.
The more people we have, the faster the install will go.
