So... Im back in town... I had a rental 2dr JK while in Hawaii on the Big Island. I will post pics as soon as I get some sleep.

Sweet! First JK I drove was a 2 dr. on the Big Island last October. Also my first introduction to the hood flutter ......... man, that was interesting the first time it happened. I have friends that live in Volcano ......... If I woulda known you were going, I coulda hooked you up. They knew all of the cool beaches / spots to go to.

Thanks... it was really weird how one side of the island was so green and the rest was nothing but lava rock and flows.

Oh... and that Mtn in the pic above is 13800ft above sea level. It was 91 on the coast and 36 at the top.

Wow. That's quite the change in temp.

Is that "The" volcano mountain that you ride up in a bus/truck, and then descend on a bicycle for like an hour or so without having to pedal once?

That is the one (I believe). I've been wanting to do that descent for years. You go from lava rock, to snow, to treeline, to dense forest, to jungle, to beach and finally to ocean. All in one intense downhill run. Too freakin' sweet!
