Edit: Disregard, went back a page to see youre looking at Rocket City Offraod. Be curious to hear what the quote you for labor.
For the front and rear axles, gears, and lockers and the front sleeves and gussets he quoted ~1500. I wanted to do these myself, but I haven't done any diff work before, only axles, and want to be sure it's done properly.

This guide looks pretty good - I think I'll be referring to it after I install the lift. I think the alignment will take a good long time as it'll be the first time I've done it on this vehicle.

I discovered that the C's on the axle aren't uniform and was getting 6.1 and 6.8 degree readings on driver/passenger side caster. Once it was on the computer at NTB, it turned out to be 5.1 exactly on both sides....a little bit of a misreading using the Harbor Freight magnet angle-finder
How you liking the lift so far?
Yeah I was definitely planning on taking it to an install place for tire balancing and to double check the alignment. Good call.

Unsure how like the lift so far, havent had it out of the garage yet. I messed up the draglink end that goes into the pitman arm while installing a new pitman arm that lowers the drag bar. Awaiting new part from Quadratec.

Also, I agree with taking it somewhere to dial it in. This will definitely get you in the ballpark. PLus it helped me understand better what is going on with the vehicle. I never could understand what people were talking about when they said "castor". Now i know.

When you go to buy your gears and gussets go to 4x4groupbuy.com. I bought my TeraFlex lift for $500 cheaper then anyone else, also bought my superior axles for $120 less than anyone else.
Call and talk to Jason he is the owner and just tell him that Jayson that bought the TF lift and axle shafts told you to call and he'll give you a break on the price.

So you opted for the dropped pitman arm??? I asked the techs at Trailmaster if it was needed with this kit (or the highsteer option) but they said it wasn't. I think I might still get one though b/c it's supposed to reduce all steering issues.
Yes I did. The angle is so steep without it. And after experiencing death wobble after the initial install, I am about willing to do anything to correct the geometry as much as possible. The wife also experienced the death wobble and that was not a pleasant one way conversation she had with me once she got it pulled over.

I did not realize they were so much cheaper than others, will check them out. Thanks for the insight.

I'm shopping the Trailmaster kit for the Unlimited, and it's $1775 from Quadratec. Everywhere else it's between $2200 and $3000. Is Quadratec running an older generation or something? How much did your kits run?
