Damn, you guys are friggin high-larious.
Sorry, the JKS Quicker Disco's are staying put. As are the rock rails.

You are just going to have to give somebody else that back rub.

BTW. What the hell do they torque those main caps to?? Couldn't break them loose at all. Couldn't really get a breaker bar on them while the engine is still in the Heep.

extention+cheater pipe is your friend. Seriously though, if you want help holler. We can have it out in a few hours. I'd offer you a engine stand, but all of mine are in service.

Default hello huntsville peeps

Hi,

I have nothing to add to this thread, but I live in athens and work in huntsville. Just got a 2010 4dr this year. My big question is if you drive 50-70 miles a day would you still lift your jeep and put 35's or bigger on it? I have upgraded all of the audio and lights, so what next?
maybe 33's with no lift, 34-35's with BB or rubi take offs?

Matt

Welcome to the forum, and to the HSV Thread!

I think as long as you don't go with an aggressive Mud Terrain Tire, your drive back and forth to work with 35's will be fine. I am running 35" Nitto Mud Grapplers: very aggressive, very loud MT tire. But I love them. The sound they make at highway speeds is awesome!!

If you go with anything over a 2" lift on a 4dr, yor are going to want to go up in tire size. I was running a Rough Country 2.5" lift with a 1" Body Lift, and the stock Rubi tires looked puny (No offense Wes ). Moved up to 35's, and love the look and ride.

Matt,

I drive 40 miles each way to work with my 4dr. I have 3.73 and auto. I have a 2.5 RC lift and Mickey Thompson ATZ 33". This is as big as I want with all the miles that I drive.

I have almost 45K on the tires and they should get me another 8-10K before I replace them.

I have had many jeeps and other vehicles, I have learned that you need to do what you want to do, if you don't, you will regret it and end up spending more money than you would have originally

Welcome to the Forum, Platoon!

All good advice so far but I have one thing to add... you will spend more money on gas. I have 35 BFG's, 3.5 lift, 4.10 gears and get 8mpg. Now granted I do drive like a scalded ape and only got about 12mpg on stock 32's... but it is something to consider. I love the way mine drives and I have no problem on the interstate except for the slow bastards in the left lane..
