My front drive shaft was losing grease with a 2.5" lift. The accordion boot was leaking and I was also slinging grease up at the CV boot.

However, the accordion boot shouldn't be tearing apart with highway driving unless it was already slightly damaged and the extra lift just finished the job.

This is an old thread, but Trail Master had a bunch of used stock drive shafts for sale so you might be able to pick up another one fairly cheap.

Can the boot not be replaced? More bad engineering.

From what all I have read lately, you'll have to get different drive shafts with that much lift. I wouldn't say it's bad engineering, because they worked fine with the set up Jeep engineered them to work with.

Looks nice! I have some 33x12.50x17 Treadwright re-treads that you can have to put a little more rubber in those fenderwells. All you have to do is come and pick them up.

Agree with Jordon - new drive shaft(s) if you plan to off-road. May be able to get by with just one for now. Not absolutely sure which they say the Autos need, I think it's the front?

Have you guys with autos been tracking the transmission cooler threads? Seems some folks are adding transmission coolers.

Why would it not be on there web site about needing a new driveshaft? It did not come apart with the wheeling I did with the previous lift So why did the boot go with the new lift and no wheeling? Unless Rocketcity pulled it out during install of the lift.

Tires are in good shape. Still plenty of tread on them. I will try and snap some pix of them. I have 4 tires. I was going to use them myself, but then I decided to go ahead and get the 35's.
