Maybe your boot was close to tearing apart before the lift, and the lift just helped it the rest of the way? Do the RC lifts run taller than advertised, like a lot of lift kits? I know some people get an extra inch or more of height than what their lift kits claim. I am not sure what the limit is when lifting the JK's, before a new driveshaft is needed. But one would think that RC would have had something posted if new ones were required.

Or, maybe RCOR messed it up during the install? Have you called them to see what they say?

Did you not go from a 3.5 inch lift to a 6 inch lift? If so, you probably destroyed it because you had too much angle for the c/v to handle. It's the angle that would destroy it, not the abuse from taking it off road. I think that highway speeds would destroy it a lot faster than crawling around off road would if it had too much angle.

I did talk to RCOR. I can have the insurance cover it because it may have torn when the trackbar bracket broke from the axel. I took the boot off for now and I am going to put some grafite on it till Monday.

Anyone going to Stoney Lonesome tomorrow ? I am going to leave Trinity at 7 and could meet up at the truck stop on exit 299 at 8-8:30

I believe Monty went from 2.5" spacers to the Series II Jeep JK 3.5" Coil Lift Kit.

Default Dual Stabilizers

Steve - have you installed the dual steering stabilizers yet, and if so, what do you think so far?

Enjoyed the open air feel of my Bestop Highrock Element Tube Doors on this last ride, but I definitely am not impressed with the latching mechanism. A little loose, but I think I can probably tighten them up a bit. Will keep you guys posted. On the positive side, I really liked the extra storage the "saddle bags" had to offer.

Someone had these gorgeous Drake billet shifters installed in his Flame Red JK.

Going through my pics, I keep seeing shots that make me want to do some more wheeling soon.

Does Hawk Pride seem a little dusty to anyone else?

Dennis - can't remember, but is that an extra mirror, or do you use one of the stocks and just remove/re-attach each time you switch doors?
