Default Tail of the Dragon

Neat Video Justin - at least the first minute and a half. I stopped watching 'cuz I hate that stretch of road. I've traveled it at least a half dozen times during the past three years on my way into the SW part of the Smokies to backpack. Maybe would be more fun in some sort of sports car, but it's tedious for the Camry.

Was just up there a couple weeks ago or so, and the leaves had just started to change. Looks like you hit it just about right.

We rode the tail once when we had the ultra classic. Neat stretch of road but a PIA for a touring bike to ride.

All I know is whoever designed that road was a driver. It is stupid fun to drive and the way most turns are on it, it loads the cars suspension just like racing. Plus most of the turns are banked as well. You need to sell the camry for a mustang (its gets the same MPG as your Jeep does). Actually come to think of it, the mustang averaged 17.5 MPG @ 3k RPMs on the highway. Not bad. When I finally break the T-5 thats in it now, it will be going back together with lower ratios. This ought to bring the 3k @75 down to about 2100 @ 75

Had a pretty productive weekend. Dropped the Trans and TC out of the Heep. Ended up dropping most of the Trans fluid all over the garage On a good note: It was clean and didn't smell burnt, so at least the trans is in good shape. Now just have to make sure the fluid is all dried up before the welding of the new motor mounts begins (hopefully soon).

Also got to take a ride in my buddy's supercharged '04 Vette. Dynoed @ 560 rwhp. GOOD GAWD.

Didn't make it to the car show. Anybody else go?

PS Saw Recon this morning turning onto Wall Triana. Rig is looking great!
