Do you think it made a big difference as far as better protection (or maybe I should say, as far as making it less vulnerable/susceptible to damage)?

This is a shot underneath the rear seat where you drill for the mounting bolts. Had to drill throughmy Herculiner.

 

I think it will absolutely make a difference as far as protection. it now hangs above the driveshaft, just in front of the Dana 44.

just got my rubi rails on...wow it looks a lot better now.
