haven't got them on yet. Main reason I'm asking this question is I have access to tire machine I can use for free, but no balancer. I am the worlds cheapest man

I don't recommend them for our use....they are great for OTR trucks with dual wheels especially for fleet use, but most OTR truck owners/operators still balance their steer tires on a traditional balancer.

Have you thought about having them shaved so they are true? Not sure I said that right, but it works, trouble is finding someone who still does it.
