Default To sting or not to sting

Ok, so here is how far I am on my bumper build. Big thanks to Justin for use fo the arc welder. Took some getting used to but figured it out. Now, do I add the stinger or not? Yeah I know, needs a lift before the stinger, but what do you think?
Still need to add a few pieces to it to box some of it in and cover up the bottom. Also adding a piece underneath as a rock guard.

If you're planning on making use of it with some pretty challenging trails, I'd say go for the stinger. If you're not going quite that extreme, I'd recommend a bull bar with some light tabs on it. I've seen some pretty creative tubing designs for both.

Looking nice so far!

In theory a stinger helps avoid a front roll over on a descent and can help get the front end up a rock face. I think most just think they look cool though!

Great place for a spotter to have a strap to prevent backwards rollover. Just another reason, most people will never use the stinger....

Good call I think. They're pretty sweet looking, and they're useful I off road I hear, but they also make parking a little tricky in tight spaces, and I think a bull bar is just as functional. I really like on my front bumper how the tubing is set up. There's lots of good gripping space and protection for the winch and grill, and there's also enough space to mount lights underneath it. Here's a pic:
