Catahoula recreation off road park in Sicily island is the closest real park. It's about 5 hours north from you. Other than that, you can join AWOL or LA4x4 and they have private properties around here to ride.

Can anybody give me the ins and outs of Sicily Island?? I am trying to put a weekend trip together with a small group. I've always heard about trails/rides out there and just wanted to see what else is around there. We plan on camping somewhere out there for a Friday & Saturday night... Ride, fish, drink, and just have a good time. JUst trying to see if anybody could give me a heads up on where to go, what to do, or where to stay away from, etc... Thanks!!

We may go out this weekend for the day just to check it out and see what all is out there... I've seen there website, and I saw a link to Turkey Creek Park. May camp there and go ride at Catahoula Rec Offroad Park. Just wanted to see if anybody familiar with the area could give me any pointers... I always here about people going.
