I learned how to drive stick shift on an old YJ. Definitely stalled a few times on some hills before I could drive it, but once I got the hang of it there were no more problems. I can't speak for newer Jeeps tho. Hope everything goes well with your Jeep situation and you end up getting a Jeep you want!

we can make a facebook group or something. Does anyone have JKU carpet they'd sell or if the JK carpet for the driver/passenger/rear is the same and someone has them for sale I'll buy em tonight/tomorrow.

I finally found the one. She's a 2012 JK, Bright White, Auto, 3.73, A/C, Tow Package, Soft Top. 24K

I have a six speed. It's the trickiest clutch I've ever driven due in part to the electronic throttle and the long throw...oh and the throwout bearing...but it's solid once you get the hang of it. Its not that bad really. Find out if you have the hill start assist option. It holds the brakes to keep you from rolling back when starting on a hill.

If you're stuck in a mud hole/water crossing don't push in the clutch while it's submerged. It will suck up all kinds of junk in it...

Don't get me wrong, I love my 6 speed. Probably a lot more fun with the '12.

I didn't think the six speed was that bad, and I actually do have some carpet I'd sell

It's not bad honestly. I didn't mean to sound like I was bashing it so much. It's just different from what I was used to.
