I am transferring to Tampa in April and wanted to know if anyone can give some advice on where to live, where not to live, ect...I will be working @ CENCOM on MacDill and don't have kids to worry about...

Our initial thought was to live in the Apollo Beach area...We will be renting at least for the first year and don't want to spend more than $1750/month. From what I have seen there are tons of properties in that price range, I just need to know where to stay away from due to traffic, crime, nothing to do...

I want to move down so bad I can taste it. Just got few more things to resolve and will be moving.

 

I haven't seen anything for rent in either of those areas...

 

You can try the Northwest section of Hillsborough county.... Citrus Park area etc.
Lots of homes around me in Citrus Park for rent etc.

i am a first time home buyer and i do know that the house im looking at, for the same builder and exact floor plan goes for 20k more at the riverview location.

i figured id save 20k and tack on five minutes to my commute by buying in apollo beach.

Man, I can't wait to get to Florida again...it is freaking 20 degrees outside right now...no way would I be working on a Jeep...

The wife and I are going ot look for houses the first week of March...move in April...thanks for all the help, and look forward to wheeling with some of you in the future...
