We have 5 meeting up near Clayton GA to ride some cool forestry roads with awesome creek crossings. Stock jeeps can do it all, as seen in the photos. GA Trail Riders mostly.

Great way to spend a day with the family in the mountains.

I might be able to join in on this one, Clayton is about 10 mins from my house. Where are you guys meeting? Great way to end a Christmas Weekend.

Riding at 9AM from the parking lot just west of Lake Burton on Hwy 76, west of Clayton GA. Map below. Coordinates are 34.868763,-83.541005.

Pack warm, and pack a lunch. Looks like a low of 30 and a high of 49.

 

Sounds like fun. I am very interested. Have you checked the water levels lately? Down here in the Macon area the creeks and rivers are really high.

Right now it looks like I won't be able to make it. I was "reminded" that we have family stopping in for lunch on their drive through town. So I gotta be around for that. I also need to work that night.

If someone could post the route of the trails you guys went on...I would love to go up there during the week. That looks like a fun stream crossing and let me know if anyone else who can't make this ride want to join me during the week.
