I pulled the plastic rear bumper off to see what I had to build off of. Now Im wondering if its legal to not have it on. What makes me think it might not be legal is the rear tires have nothing to block stuff that gets kicked up. Im in Memphis where the cops couldnt care less, but I still want to know.

 

i've seen plenty of people drive theirs without it on. i've driven mine without it a lot. if i do some hard riding and get really muddy, i'll take it off and drive to the car wash (tons of dirt gets trapped back there) and i've never had any problems with cops

 

I've had mine off for 2 months with no problems

 

I have a rear stubby which also blocks almos nothing and have not had any trouble for like a year now.
