Exclamation River Rock Carnage report!

Well, lets see.. Where to begin...
In the "minor category"
--Huge scratches from getting into some narrow rock places, down all 4 of the wheel fenders.
--Pushed the driver side step up into the door
--Smashed the exhaust pipe flat
--Rear bumper now has huge dent to match the front I got at Hard Rock a while back.
In the MAJOR category...
-- Shredded both front tires ON MY OWN sway bar disconnects.. Making myself the only person to have the most amount of carnage by running into.. MYSELF.

While it was up on the Rack I found this:

So add
--Damaged Rear differential case

Luckily both tires, and the differential repair were covered under warranty, so the money I lost was from buying a tire on a Sunday in GA outside of someone who covers me under there warranty.

This event is NOT for me, but don't let the carnage report discourage you. If you like places like Hard Rock, then you will go "little kid crazy" at River Rock. It's like Hard Rock x1000. It's just not my thing.

But the wife and I had a great time camping, which says something for a wife who never liked camping before!

Glad to hear you guys had a good time and particlularly that you had repairs covered under warranty

Also sounds like your getting the feel for whether or not your into the whole "offroad" thing. It's not for everyone and certainly not the faint of heart.

To explain fully: All I get from your "carnage report" is "excuse to upgrade"

As follows and in order of said report:

Trimmed fenders
Rock rails
Exhuast relo
Aftermarket bumpers
JKS quick disco's
SOLID diff covers

ok ok! I will get a link to the pics next time I on my computer and not my phone. They are all on my Photobucket account.

the diffirential had a leak and was replaced under powertrain.
the tires were under dealership warrenty.

And I'm not "faint of heart" just "light of bank account" and dont want to ruin my daily driver..

x2 on the upgrades.... sorry it had to happen so many things at one time. personally the damage potential is what keeps my wheeling to a minimum

Nice Pics there DataByte, looks like all of you guys had FUN!

Oh If it makes you proud... over the past weekend Scott Rock and I were saying that I got myself a "DataByte bumper mod bumper dent" only difference was that mine was on the drivers side.
Soon to be replaced with a shrockworks stubby.

No worries.

Cheers

Glad to hear your repairs were covered. Sucks about the damage though. I just went to hardrock with the gang for the first time last weekend. Had a blast. If riverrock is even more intense its going to be a few years before I can go. Either that or a lottery win.
