Here's a map with a few places to ride.

If you're interested in people to ride with, check out www.gatrailriders.com (OK'd by WOL). We do at least one ride per month and are a friendly bunch. Our next ride is at Tellico the weekend after next.

There is always Beasley knob in blairsville too. Its pretty tame for the most part but is a ton of fun. You can also look into the road behind amicalola falls. It is pretty tame but a nice time.

Hey Phatback,
So you're from Kennesaw... I guessing that was your ride at Moe's that I passed on my lunch break this afternoon? Looks good!
As for places to ride, there’s a couple good spots close by. I went with 07JKX and dpost82 to Sweetwater which is on the north side of Allatoona. It's a great place to go for your first time out, at least it was for me. And when I said a couple I meant one but I know there’s a few more in the area. Some of the other guys here will probably answer this better.

No problem. We have people running everything from stock to highly modified rigs. Most places we go have bypasses for all of the major obstacles, and for the one's that don't, we usually break off into groups. Tellico is about the most beautiful place around, but it also has some of the most difficult stuff to do. It's a great place and an X will and has done fine, but just to be safe I would recommend at least having rocker protection.

I took mine there for my first ride with the GA Trail Riders almost exactly one year ago. I still had my stock tires and only a 2-1/2" lift. I road in the easy group and had a blast. I learned a lot on that trip and I've been hooked every since.

The good thing about going with a group that has experience is that you can learn a lot by watching and listening. One thing we pride ourself on is that we never push anybody into doing something they aren't comfortable with.

Our next ride after Tellico will be at Mountainside ORP in Gadsden, AL on July 25. I won't be able to make that one because I'll be in Las Vegas, but it's a great place and plenty of stuff to do for everybody.

Here's a link to our last ride at Mountainside.

I here you. I'm gonna miss the next official ride there, but am always open any other time. I know we've talked about wheeling before. It's time we get together and actually do some.

Sweetwater is local and fun with a variety of trails (hill climbs, mud bogs, ruts, etc)... just north of woodstock. Let me know when you want to go and I can give the tour!

I am camping with some friends next Friday at Sweetwater. Night ride on friday night and morning ride on saturday. Let me know if you are game!
