I'm thinkin it's the TB bolt loose.. hoping at least..

What's the worst thing that could happen driving with it loose?

But when we looked at it, there was a 1" gap, and it was moves toward the axel. If it has moved again, then it could be something serious like a loose shaft.

That I don't know, but I know if it is being moved... that means something is moving it.

i have to check my torque too on my long arm now that things have had time to settle. we'll do yours at the same time.
I don't remember when the first clunk was it was like right before we left, if not on the way there but it was like once in a blue moon that I heard it.. now it's almost constant when going slow.

It will round out the bolt hole.

Mine are both even with 1/8" gap on both sides.

Go out and sit in it, start it up and turn the steering wheel back and forth slightly, left right left right. It should make it clunk as the steering moves from side to side.

I looked at that thing. On the driver side it's about 1/2 inch away, passenger is much closer.

I did this all the way left and right twice, not a peep.

It was completely silent until I hit the dirt road out of my job (it's worse than the ones we were traveling on at ONF) and with every single pot hole I got a big clunk. After I got on the pavement it was dead silent the rest of the way home

Mystery solved... The bolt in the bottom sway bar link is now wiggling around I guess it's rattled loose enough to know what it is now... it moves a lot when you wiggle it now

I am going to try to tighten it with the crappy tools I have... how bad is it to drive around with that loose?
