If that person then tried to bend the bolt back into place with no success but did at least manage to remove the whole thing, could they then order a new bolt assembly from Alpha Expedition or Gobi?
Seriously though, any help on how to order a new one (or the right places to buy the parts to do my own, would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

In a pinch or if you want to make your own, I was able to go into my local hardware store and find a bolt that was the same diameter and thread pitch as the original stabilizer foot. Look for one approximately the right length that has a large, flared phillips head. I peeled the rubber foot off my bent stabilizer, fitted it over the head of the new bolt, and installed the bolt with the head (and boot) facing toward the body. Then just lock it down with a jam nut of the correct size. This was a temporary solution for me, so no pics, sorry.

It's not beautiful, but it works.

Doh, sorry David. I guess I was busy laughing at your Dr. thing and didn't even notice. My bad and, as always, thank you for the quick help.

Also, thanks for the advice on a home remedy. Also glad to know I wasn't alone in my slip up. Missery loves company.

Instead, I bought a $30 magnetic replacement antenna and used the extra cable it afforded me to move the unit a few feet toward the center, and further forward on the roll bar. You can get to it by removing the gusset plate that is found under the roll bar padding on the passenger side.

Ok got the stealth rack installed last night and this morning while on the way to work the Satellite radio kept cutting in and out. Does anyone have any pics to illustrate how and where an extension cable/ antenna connects?

The other minor issue noted was the soft top "flutter" now noticeable with the rack installed. Any noted "fixes" for this? I saw a pic somewhere where someone used a strand of fiber lass as a bow to lift the soft top up to stop the flutter.

Thanks!

The only thing that's helped the flutter for me is opening my windows (only helps a bit) and getting used to it. Not the answer you were looking for I'm sure. I'm wondering if anybody has found a way to tighten up the soft top? Sounds like the 2010 soft top might be tighter because of those cables.

Yeah in the last 2 days I've basically decided that the flutter is just something I'll have to put up with. It gets less noticeable with time. BUT I really wanna get my sirius radio back to working normal (consistent).

There is still flutter with the cable soft top. I think gobi has some wind deflectors for the stealth rack without lights installed that may solve your problem. Some people have installed a small Sirius antenna in front of the windshield on the hood by the air intake vents. That seems to be a working option.

Not to hijack the thread but has the rainbow fishing during the coho fry hatch on "Rainbow Alley" ever come back? I use to drive to Fort Babine at this time of the year to enjoy that.

You can pick up one of this at most places like, Best Buy, Radio Shacks and etc... Most of them have magnetic backing. And style of the antenna can be vary.

Simply find the location you want the new antenna to be, and run the cable all the way back into the vehicle, run it through behind/under the dash. Then disconnect the factory Sat antenna, and plug in with the new.

Thanks for the help with the antenna. I'll see if I can pick one up tomorrow.

On another note, I was looking at the rack tonight and have an idea to help stop the flutter. I'm gonna go to Home Depot in the morning and see if I can get one of those foam pipe insulators that looks like a "pool noodle". I think that if I wrap it around the rear bar of the rack where the "mesh" is attached and run it over the bar from side to side it might push down on the soft top enough to take up the slack in the top. If the slack is taken up then it shouldn't be able to make the fludder noise (at least maybe not as loud )

Sorry if that's not very clear. I'll post updates after I try out my idea. If it works I'll post some pics.

Ok guys, I found a cheap fix to the soft top "flutter" situation. I won't go into details here as I did a write up with pics. Below is the link to the thread. I am very happy with the outcome as the annoying flutter noise is no more!

I also tried to use as many possible key words in the write up title to assist anyone who might search the forum for a flutter fix in the future. Hope it helps.
