What's the latest on availability and pricing? Did I miss it in the thread somewhere?

Thanks

Sorry guys, but this one's on the back burner.

If I get the chance to spend some more time on it, I'll post up.

Just came across this thread while searching for a bolt-on/removable option for the stock Rubi rails. Did this idea completely die? I know I'd be up for at least a pair for the front doors - maybe all 4 if the price is right.

Thanks,
Bill

Yeah, there didn't seem to be much interest. I did a prototype and it was pretty cool. If a bunch of people chime in, I'd look at it again.

Bump to the top. I'm sure there's other out there with a need for these.

Woods:

I would be up for something like this. I am actually looking into the Smittybuilt Nerf Steps, but I don't like the round bar. I prefer the look of the Rubicon slider since it covers up the pinch seam and looks better. I've been thinking of getting a local shop to fabricate the step portion and weld 4 of them to the bottom of the Rubicon sliders. I don't do much rock crawling, so I'm not too concerned about them getting hung up on rocks or obstacles. I just need a solid step for when I put my 3" lift on this summer.

Is this similar to what you had been designing? The step would be angled down and away from the body at about a 30 degree angle.

It's similar. The step I designed could mount either angled down (like the pic you posted, or angled up. The up angle made the step even with the top of the factory rock rail. It's laying around here, somewhere. If I can find it easily, I'll take a pic and post up.
