And yes, Cali requires a front plate. I haven't had one on my JK for over two years though. Just don't piss off the cops and they should be cool about it. Unless you live in Fullerton...

If you have a roller fairlead for your winch you can use 1 or 2 sets of maglite clips to mount your license plate. That is what I did, Cheap and easy (kind of like me).
