I have spoken with my manager today and was told that Thule has actually just sent us their cargo box, a snowboard rack and the kayak rack to go along with the bike racks we have already attached. All of these systems are compatible with our new hardtop rack.

I will do my best to get pictures posted when the new accessories arrive.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Let me start by saying great product.

I am sure you are getting a bit weary of requests for 2 door soft top info. I own a 2 door hard top, and want to register my interest for a unit that can be used with a hard top on and off (w/ or w/o a softop). Reason being, when the weather is warm, it will be good to use this space to carry loads as well.

Every jeep has it's roof off to carry loads on the trail with my roof at home in the garage.

With that said, I also wanted to ask if a poll for a rack that works similar to what is suggested below, would help you get a sense of the level of interest. From what I have seen on this thread, I can count almost 7 requests alone.

No pressure. Please keep me posted on developments.
Thanks

I would like to see a future tray type attachment for hauling some gear.

One suggestion, have you thought of designing a rack that mounts inbetween the tub and the hard top, like a lumber rack for a pick-up? It would make it easy for the soft top guys to use with no design changes...and no leak issues to worry about either. Maybe for the full length rack.

just a suggestion.

I have ordered this rack and Mr. Nairn tells me there are some minor structure changes to accomodate ALL JK hard tops

I'll give some pics when I put it ON, should be a month--

Steve, Have you folks checked with the local stealerships to see if they'd let you borrow a 2dr model? Not sure with the economy the way it is, but having the first one on the lot with this might be an incentive for both parties!
Looking at the design, only thing I could think of adding is some cross bracing bolted onto the roll cage to prevent any outward flexing. This might also increase the load carrying capacity.
Just dumped a bunch of $'s on other mods, but will add this to my wish list of things to add in the future.
Nice to see our neighbors to the north getting into making some worthy mods for the JK! Keep up the good work.

We have looked at all the local dealerships and have not been able to find any at this time. We have a member on the forum that is interested in bringing his 2 door up in the next few months. Otherwise, if anyone has knowledge of a 2 door in Northern Ontario...any information would be greatly appreciated.

Just wanted to give you guys a quick update on our progress. I have some pictures of the production rack and want to show you how it comes apart for shipping. This rack is still uncoated but will give everyone an idea of how similar it looks to the prototype.

Light tabs, the center adjustable cross member and various other finial touches are still needing to be completed.

Let me know what you think so far.

Looks awesome. I just dont know how I would get the bikes on top. My bikes weigh 38 lbs each and with a 4" lift and 37" tires I would need a ladder to get them on the top.
