This rack will fit your unlimited. You asked about a full size rack and I was wondering if you could elaborate on that? Are you looking for something that would reach further foreword than what we have built? We designed ours so that the front section of the hard top could be removed. It would be more difficult if the rack was extended to the windshield.

This rack would have to be redesigned if it were to be mounted on a jeep with a soft top. It would need to be mounted on the body and may have to be wider to clear the soft top apparatus. We would like to see what kind of demand there is for the original design and go from there.

Steve,

The forum price of $699, is that delivered ? I guessing that this rack would need to be shiped via truck freight ? By the way I really like this rack.

Also, what is the est. on the release date if pre-ordered.

Do you have any pics from the top w/o the bikes? I would like to see how it goes across the roof.
X2 on this. Would love to see a top view.

We ship via FedEx and there would be freight charges. We have built the rack in three sections in order to fit it in a smaller size box for shipping. The center section will come out of the sides and will fit in a rectangular box. I will look into shipping to NJ for you. I can assure you that shipping would be reasonable. We can ship an 80lb 5" diameter diesel system to Texas for around $80.

I will post some top view pictures for you as well.

We are shooting to have the first orders shipped in 3-4 weeks. Let me know if you would like to order. As we previously stated though, no payment is required until rack is ready to ship. By pre-ordering, we will guarantee the price of $699.00.

Thanks,

Default height

How much more height will it add to my hardtop, with no lights or bike rack?

Hey Pink Toes,

If I were to guess on the extra height I would say about 5-6 inches. Of course "Steve" could give you a better idea.

The tubes are made out of 2" pipe and by the photo's it looks like about 3-4 inches between the rack and hardtop.
