Just had a tail light stolen last week. Two damn screws and it's $116 (w/tax) I could've spent on something else. Count me in if the lights are major tough to steal and if it has backup lights with it. Already voted, no license plate hole.

before i made my led tail lights i swapped out the factory screws with hex so they were not as easy as pulling out a pocket knife and unscrewing them and making off with free lights.

Yeah, I couldn't find hex or even better torque, bolts/screws here in this little burg so I went with Roberts, or square drive ones. I'd still really like some round LED ones mounted inside some corner guards so whoever "needs" a tail light assembly so badly won't even think about the ones on the rear of my JK.

So where we at, is this gonna happen? I'm in, but too lazy to read the whole thread, is there a problem mounting led's? Will AEV have a light that they recommend, or just cut holes and hope for the best?

not according to them. your pretty much on your own.

"We have not pursued any other design iterations for the corner guards and do not plan to do so in the near future. I apologize we can't accomodate your needs at this time. Thanks, John
