It weighs about 90lbs when packed in a box. Installed weight without the light bar would be around 80lbs. This could bring the front down slightly, depending on the winch you run but a set of 1/2" spacers are an easy fix if this does happen...

Here are a few pictures of our new full width bumper installed with stock fenders. This gives you guys an idea of how it will look with the winch, and low fog light mounts.

We'd like your feedback!

OK, seriously Steve I like it. I had noticed on the cad's that the "wings" approach the fenders closer than stock which will make the Jeep look better overal. I see the welds (tack welds ) where the wings join the shorty. Couldn't talk you into cutting the wings off and welding endplates that can bolt together (ie detachable wings) could I? Can't blame me for trying.

I am really excited about the powder coated final look and can't wait to get one on my JK.

Thanks for the pics, awaiting more

Oh yeah, I especially like the wing height and fit, how low it rides (if I catch it on a rock shame on me), where the fogs are (? how hard would it be to put a brush gaurd over them?). Is the bumper test fitted with just two bolts to the frame? Surely the d-ring mounts bolt with four bolts right? Looks to me a little like a fab four which I originally wanted but when I saw it on an unlimited it was OVERWELMING! This is like Goldilocks.....just right.

Pygeum:

As for your question about the sway bar disconnect, our final few design changes actually brings the lower part of the bumper further down, and further back to give maximum coverage. Even at the most extreme approach angle's I do not think hitting your disconnect is going to be very easy.

What exactly are you referring to in respect tot he tow bar adaptation?
I pull my JK behind my RV, wasn't sure if there would be room to fab the tow bar to the frame or the bumper.

Man.... I have to tell you.... I like the previous design much more..

I don't like the new fog light location at all ... I also liked the previous thinner design I think it would have been easier to offer a skid plate for the disco's like most every other bumper does. Personally, I don't have an e-disco and I know that plenty of other owners don't either.

I say stick as close to the original as possible. That one that went to SEMA was a real winner!

i have to say i agree with this. the thinner design was why i wanted to trade out my older design mbrp bumper. somehow the newer design just doesn't look right.....too chunky i think. i prefer the bumper i have on now.

Not sure what rigging up a tow bar would involve...maybe you could take advantage of the heavy duty D ring mounts.

Your opinion is appreciated, but the new design takes the e-disconnect into account. The bumper does cover the disconnect so that is one less thing you need to spend more money on. As far as the fog location, we moved them down to keep the winch location low.

Glad you like the look of the new bumper! As much as I would like to be able to make you one with detachable ends, it just simply won't be possible. The two bolts are just for test fitting purposes. The bumper has 4 bolts on each horn when fully installed.

Can't wait to get yours finished up so we can ship it out!
