Anybody else use this Tuffy enclosure? Waiting on my 2 door soft top to come in and this would be the perfect solution!

Armycop, do you think this design would work better with a soft top rather then the hard top? Basically just want something to keep my bag, or some tools out of site if i need to run into the store.

Does this also provide security if the rear seat is removed? Would it be a pain to remove the security trunk to take the seat out?

Thanks

Installed in a 2011.. took all of about twenty minutes... Fit is perfect..

No sub-woofer in my JK and I am using a Trektop Nx.

There are two pieces of rubber weather tripping I chose to leave off.. the adhere to the edge of the upper security panel and fit between it and the plastic trim at the base of the roll bar. It made for an extremely tight fit. I cut those pieces in half and installed only the a portion of it on each side. No rattles or gaps and the top panel is easy to install or remove.

So today I realizes that although the enclosure does exactly what I expected as far as securing the rig, especially when the rear seat is in and soft top is on, how the heck will I get the rear seat out without taking out the enclosure? It's doable, and removing the enclosure isn't horrible either but it certainly makes it more complicated.

Second thing I noticed is that when used in conjunction with the OE tailgate bar, the bar is more difficult to remove and install. Probably a thousand times easier than the bar that comes with the Trektop NX but a new challenge anyway.

That said... Real happy with it!!

Yup.. they make a model for the earlier JK's which don't have the crappy plastic trim at the base of the roll bars..

The two door version should fit but it won't cover the whole trunk area. As I think about it, that might be good..leaves you access the trunk while giving you a lock-box up against the tail gate

For the 2007-2010 2 door models, you'll want to ask your dealer for the #286-01 Tuffy Tailgate Enclosure.
