Early April Fool's right?

 

still no price on these

 

saw a set of the new mtr's on a jeep at 4wd hardware the other day. they are pretty mean looking, but they are directional. so as i was standing in front of the jeep looking at them, the tread looks weird because it is not uniform from driver side to passanger side. the guy that was running them only had them on for about 1 week and said so far so good. he also said something about them being pretty easy to balance.

 

Are you talking about these tires 35x12.5x17"

 

Unfortunately not. I've been trying to choose a tire and considered these and thought a official Goodyear retail store might have a line on them. That's what I was told as he looked them up but from the post above there are some out there. Maybe it was just the size I was after.

 

I hope so, but I can't imagine 17's or 18's being significantly cheaper so the folks with stock rims may not be happy.

 

Not all the sizes have been updated with prices but the 315/75-16 MTR with Kevlar has. Our current price is only $270.00 each. This is a few dollars more than the BFG KM2.

Like mentioned above, not all the prices have been set, especially on the DuraTrac. We'll keep you posted.


The new MTR with Kevlar is not directional but rather asymmetrical non directional. If it were a true directional tire there would be a left and right tire. Asymmetrical tires have a designated outside shoulder and when mounting, make sure the sidewall says "mount this side out", or has the "outside" designation facing out. When looking at this tire from behind, you will see lateral grooves facing the front and on the other side of the vehicle, lateral grooves facing the back. This is how asymmetrical tires are designed. You can also rotate this model once mounted from side to side.
