While I still have the original JK headlights, I do know that certain after-market bulbs are LEGAL!.

In NY, fitting HIDs into housings not designed for HID's are illegal. HID housings have the bulb type stamped on the lens. Ie- D2S. I used to have HID's in my Grand Cherokee and got bothered about them twice but no tickets. then I had an Acura with factory fitted HID's and the housing said D2S on it.. in fact here is a photo I still have a headlight from the car.

David - This is a killer set up. Do you know if the IPF light kit is DOT approved?
I dont think it is DOT approved.

All I can say is that you are going to be very busy around the end of the month packing them and shipping them. I hope your UPS guy brings an extra truck that day.

think we will be shipping these Fed ex But yes we have a ton of orders and it will be a fun day shippig for sure.

the old ipf's are dot approved... so shouldnt those be? i dont care hahah..

who's worried about legal stuff theses days.. i got 30% tint on windsheild and 15% on sides md legal limit is 35%
