Please pardon the somewhat hokey wiring in the pic. I wouldn't run it that way. That's leftover from a previous light install, and the owner was in a hurry when he ran that wiring. 
If you run it down the pillar on the driver's side, you can feed it through the cowl/firewall area through a little passageway behind the corner of the dash. Ill try to get out there before I leave today and take a pic of what I'm talking about. Be a lot easier to understand with a photo.
