Rugged Ridge 2011 JK SEMA Jeep Preview
Hopefully the doors will fit better than the mirror relocation brackets I got from Rugged Ridge a few years ago. The worst part was the lack of support provided by Rugged Ridge when I called them about the issue.
It looks like they've done a great job of expanding the product line and have some nice looking stuff, but I'm committed to not buying from them.
I'm guessing all of their stuff is made in China also.

12,000 sets have been sold with a very, very, very low return rate. Sorry for your problem. Would you care to give some more information?

I'm assuming the display doors did not have the Velcro on them? or is the velcro on the inside of the uppers with these? Just my .02, but as an owner of the elements I found the velcro to be my biggest (un-aired until now) complaint. Because the velcro is on the outside and I have the uppers off more often than not, it got kinda nasty in the mud and is very tough to clean. In addition, it never really matched the contour of the door all that well, and didn't provide much of a seal. I have been considering trying to have a magnet sewn into the upper so that it will seal without the velcro, but a magnet wouldn't work on a composite door.
I was just challenging you guys to make sure you try the doors with the uppers for a while and see if you come up with a better solution. They really look like great doors!

hey, would really like to put some of your rugged ridge parts on my jk unlimited uk edition, (2007, right hand drive, auto, 2.8 diesel) but anyone that sells your stuff over here charges so much more than you can but it in the states.
i would love to have your wheels, fenders, bumpers, but it's a small fortune here.
your wheels are $1500, before tires. i know this is not your fault, import taxes etc, but i have one of the very few jk's around here & it would look amazing with rugged ridge parts on.
would love to come to the show, but, alas, too far.
enjoy it.

guess what...I like the doors
I'm also really interested in the snorkel and have been following that thread as well. I have some full soft doors, and at about 50+ mph the top of them starts to get pulled away by the wind. I like to see some that are more solid. I'm exited about what rugged ridge has going on. I'm ready to see the finished products...me and everyone else

The fitment issue you speak of was either the wrong bolts supplied, with our first production run and quickly corrected, or the change that Jeep made for 2009 models. We had to add a plastic insert to allow the revised mirror head (outsourced to another manufacture within the first year of production) to fit inside the relocation bracket.

Understand what you are saying... We have been working on installation instructions to try and make it as clear as possible on how to set the upper doors up correctly the first time. This is a big part of making the doors seal correctly, BUT soft upper doors will have issues with any cross wind. We have looked into this issue and believe we have it worked out. Will there be a complaint from TX's doing down I-40 with a side wind.... More than likely yes but My Tahoe gets a little wind noise when presented with the same conditions.
