Thanks for your recommendation, All I could find on it is that you can unlock it, with key, remote, or the power lock switches... I couldn't find anything that indicates that the tail gate will remain locked, is it an alarm feature?

Costs less, works with a soft top, is a bear to uninstall so it would add time to somebody trying to get into it, and keeps ones stuff from blowing out when on the highway and topless.

Also works just fine with the top up...
Works well until it's cut

Does this work in a 2011 as your first post states? I was about to pull the trigger on one and the Tuffy folks first said it wouldn't work, then they said it would work and then they said it wouldn't work. So at this point I am still influenced that it won't work.

Really? Sorry if my post seemed short, I seriously wasn't trying to be an ass. I thought for sure the manual explained the process but maybe it's just one of the gazillion things I have learned about my Jeep on this site.

Anyway, if you have power locks and lock the doors using the keyfob, after about 15 or 20 seconds, the power lock/unlock buttons on all the doors become disabled. At that point you can only open the back with the keyfob or the key itself. Check it out because it is pretty cool and I did confirm that this works (at least it does on my own '09 Rubi JKU.)

Good question. When I first made the post their site listed that it would fit, now they don't... I would agree that it does not work. I updated the original post. Thank you.

Yes it does, but theft is more about the time it takes than the material. All things are vulnerable.

I think that the effort cutting it will take in broad daylight, let alone being seen, will deter 95% of would be crooks. It's like the club in that way, and onecfan have the duster and underseat Tuffy drawer for much less. The duster can also come off in a pinch if you gotta move something, not so much with the other option.

To each their own though :-)
