I just don't get it... please bare with me on this one.

Is the snorkel in next image is functional!? if so what is it good for? ( it's... so short! and I can't see any opening...)

Is that snorkel modular? can I easily add the long piece when I need it, like use the short in my DD and the long piece for wheeling in the weekends?

and what about this one!? (the short/long round one) is that also part of the modular snorkel !? or this idea have been dropped...? (I really like that one!)

Everything IS Modular... you'll be able to switch for one to the other by removing the 4 bolts on top of the base. It rocks for me!

I guess they can't account for every situation out there, over all it looks great but sucks that I would have to lose my windshield lights

Unless you have removed the fenders, i could not see splashing being too big of an issue on daily driving (which i believe is what it is good for). If you plan to go splashing then swap the 4 bolts and throw on the actual snorkel. I am sure water will always find a way but see my previous question and their answer on the last page (i believe last page) about water going in the snorkel and how to remove it. It seems a good bit if thought went into this.

you don't get splash at that part of the jeep as long as you have some kind of fender. But I do see your point. when I order mine I am going with the low pre filter option.

people have been hydro locking while stock while playing in puddles at a higher rate of speed. the water is splashing from the tires up under the fender well directly into the stock snorkel. This will prevent that.
