07' Next Gen Dana 35 (Info)
Not that too many people here run the next gen dana 35, but I though others might be interested in the information on the next gen dana 35 found in early 07' 2dr Sahara & X models.
I contacted Chrysler and this was their reply.
The current Dana axles used in the 2007 and newer JK (07-current) model
Jeep Wrangler have been improved strength as compared to the TJ (97-06)
Wrangler models. Most internal components of the next generation Dana
axles are up to 18% stronger than prior model axles. The ring and
pinion, axle shafts and the housing are not interchangeable between JK
and TJ models.
Not as good as the dana 44, but it is a little better than the older dana 35.
Hope this is useful to others.

Yeah, you and me both.
I thought about upgrading mine, but I think I may ride it until it breaks then go with a dana 44.
Have you lifted yours?

I baby my axles though.
I will upgrade at some point, but kinda busy with other stuff right now.
Have you had any driveshaft problems?
That is actually the kit I'm looking at. Any thing I should be aware of with that kit?

I swapped both shafts fo Coast 1310's. I ran the stockers briefly while waiting to get them on, the rear stock shaft started spitting grease at under 100 road miles. So, in light of my experience, any 3" lift on a 2dr needs a rear shaft, very soon. Others say they have ran them fine, but i got nothing out of running mine but a grease streak.
I love my lift.
The only additions i made to it, where adding the Adj control arms, and the RockKrawler rear coil spring correction wedges to get my coils lined up. Some people need them, some dont.
(some people used new spring seats), oh, and i did add longer brake lines, i wasnt happy with how taught my stockers where when i flexed it out.
